| Overview
Job Title: Cart Truck Associate The job entails pressure cleaning and repairs to compactors, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, and exterior maintenance behind grocery stores. A one man crew operates during the day and is responsible for 2 stores a day. The compactor ram area is checked for debris then cleaned and lubricated. The scissor lifts are checked for repairs, then cleaned. Pallet Jacks are picked up from around the store, then completely inspected and repaired. Occasional travel is required. Weekly schedule consists of 7 stores per week to be done Monday through Friday, depending on the distance between stores. Work orders need to be completed around the weekly schedule. Any cancelled store will need to be made up in the same work week (Monday through Sunday). Other responsibilities include the maintenance of all equipment and trucks. Requirements and Job Qualifications 1. Must have a clean driving record with a valid Florida Class D Drivers License to operate company vehicles. (Depending on state, License requirements may be different.). 2. Must have GED or high School equivalent, the ability to read and speak fluently in English, and the necessary mathematical skills to complete invoices. 3. Must be willing and flexible to handle travel requirements. 4. Must be drug free and pass pre-employment screening test. 5. Must fully understand all current Company Policies (Dress Code, Quality Assurance Program, Service Recovery, and service guidelines). Compactor Service Associates must be able to work well in an environment without immediate supervision. This requires an honest, dependable, and self-motivated individual who can handle this type of work. A successful Compactor Service Associates will have mastered all mechanical,pressure cleaning, and welding related to performing the job. All employees must be willing to periodically travel to other states to catch up other schedules, attend training courses and/or continue education. Fad haircuts, hair coloring, jewelry or other extraordinary styles of grooming are not acceptable. PERSONAL HABITS Jimco cart associates represent our company and regularly interact with store managers and their staff. A neat, professional appearance is required at all times. SHOES Proper work shoes capable of protecting your feet while welding and pressure washing. They should provide some degree of protection from falling objects and have tread with adequate traction on wet concrete and asphalt. Flip flops or sandals will not be tolerated. A Jimco company shirt displaying our logo and telephone number (to be provided) must be worn at all times. Shirts must be tucked in. PANTS Solid colors only, No cut off shorts PERSONAL APPEARANCE Associates are to take pride in their appearance & report in neat, clean clothing. Stains, holes, fraying etc… are not acceptable. Men, please wear hair-Conservatively styled, clean & neat. Hair cannot hang below eyebrows, should not cover the ears, overhang collar or curl over the collar. Sideburns-no lower then the bottom of the ear Earrings are not permitted. |
